HostDime’s state of the art data center, located in north Orlando, has recently undergone an innovative expansion. The new expansion will include several new features for optimized operation and will especially contain amenities to better serve the colocation market. The expansion will include 6,500 square feet. This space will allow another data center and more floor space, as well as a possible third data center for storage and colocation offices.

The expanded data center will also contain a reception area where clients will be welcomed, a man trap protected service entrance with a ramp that will allow easier access for deliveries, and services for our colocation clients. Colocation clients will be able to take advantage of the stylish new conference room that can be reserved and used for business meetings, which will be equipped with the latest media display and video technology. There will also be a lounge that colocation clients can use to work and troubleshoot their servers.

HostDime has always had superior security and will continue this superiority with the expansion. There will be man trap doors at all standard entrances to the datacenter. These doors will all be operated via combination of keycard readers and biometric hand readers. Also, to cover the new expanded space, 17 more IP cameras will be installed.

The other expansion space will be used for an upgraded build room, which will enable troubleshooting on up to 14 machines at one time, and a test lab that will promote HostDime research and development for our growing number of clients.
