What
is a Virtual Private Server?
A Virtual Private Server
(VPS) uses special software called OpenVz to split a robust
high-end dedicated server in to multiple small dedicated server
type environments. Think of VPS as mini dedicated servers. This setup
allows for a dedicated type environment with full root access
and your own private secure partition, but without the high
price of a dedicated server.
Who needs a VPS?
A VPS is perfect for sites that require
more resources than regular shared hosting servers can safely
offer, but don't need a full resource physical dedicated server.
VPS's are also perfect for those who need their own customized
Linux environment to run their web applications, those who need
full root access to manage their sites or those who are simply
seeking to isolate their operation from the disadvantages of
the shared hosting environment. Read more about Virtual Private Server benefits below.
Benefits of a VPS
- Stability -- Each virtual private hosting server
(VPS) is partitioned their own space, this means the
activity of each virtual private server is completely independent from one
another. A crash on one VPS will not affect any other
virtual private servers.
- Security -- Each VPS is isolated exactly as
if it were one physical dedicated server, therefore
the full security scheme a dedicated server has is identically
found on each VPS allowing the integrity of your data
on a VPS to be preserved at all times.
- Performance -- Each VPS is allocated a specific
amount of CPU, memory, and disk space resources. Each
also has ability to burst in resource usage to maximum
defined limits as needed, however, at no point in time
is one Virtual Private Server able to consume all physical server resources.
The end result: Reliable performance ALWAYS.
- Control -- Each VPS is standalone where you
are given total control. You decide what software to
install, configure, and run. All this can be administered
with the powerful, user-friendly control panel or via
the command line.

Need more reasons to go VPS?
- Managed VPS - Don't know much about Linux and
standalone virtual private servers? You don't need to
be an expert or experienced user as all our VPS are
managed. We handle all the security updates, software
patches, and server node monitoring.
- Email issues - Due to ongoing and increasing
spam issues, blacklists have been employed to help identify
and block the source of the spam. If you are on a shared server
where a domain has been spamming, the shared IP address
of such server runs the risk of being blacklisted preventing
you from sending email to other networks. A VPS is a
solution to this situation.
- Root access - All VPS are given full root access.
Add, remove, upgrade, downgrade, and customize configurations
on your VPS, as you want them, where it fits your needs.
As super user root you are privileged to deploy your
own applications when you need them without prior approval.
- Powerful Performance - Our core node VPS platform
servers are composed of Dual Processor 64bit AMD Opterons
with dual-core technology and hypertrasport technology.
All servers include a minimum of four (4) 250GB hard
drives and four (4) GB's of ECC registered memory providing
an intense environment of burstability when needed.
- Price - Enjoy the benefits of a similar nature
environment of a dedicated server for a fraction of
the price. VPS solutions are affordable for startup
and growing clients.
- Reliability - Unlike shared web hosting, where
if any single user ever runs a resource intensive script
or a poorly written program all users functionality
and performance is affected; a VPS eliminates this.
- Support - Full 24/7 administrative technical
support (Level 1, 2, AND 3) via email or phone is available
to answer any of your concerns and provide you with
solutions for your Virtual Private Server.
- Flexibility - Offer MORE. With a VPS you have
the ability to provide more of your hosting users with
more features, including reseller account reselling
privileges.
