Technical Support Technician I

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain stable client base and server environment
  • Support for client’s hosting services
  • Troubleshoot support inquires related to http, DNS, MySQL, mail and other system issues
  • Escalate issues to appropriate departments if needed
  • Responsive and adaptive communication with clients and staff
  • Server and incident management
  • Add resources to internal company knowledge bases
  • Consistently arrive on-time and ready to work

Requirements

  • Basic computer and Internet skills
  • Understanding of general IT technology skill set
  • Troubleshooting experience with web applications
  • Excellent phone/client communication skills

Desired Skills

  • Analytical troubleshooting skills in a support environment
  • Knowledge of IP protocol suite
  • LAMP, HTML/PHP, IIS
  • Linux command line familiarity, configuration, file handling experience
  • System administration, web infrastructure, and support experience
  • DNS setup and troubleshooting experience
  • cPanel / Plesk
