FTP over TLS – FileZilla

Published on: December 22, 2015
Difficulty: Easy

Currently, our Business and Reseller servers have TLS encryption of FTP connections set to be optional. Once this setting is changed to “Required”, the FTP program that you use may need to have settings updated to allow the connection to the server to work.

Below are some instructions and screenshots you can use to see how to change the encryption setting in the FTP client FileZilla.

    1. Once you have opened FileZilla, click on the “Open the Site Manager” button.

    2. Under My Sites, click on the site profile you are going to modify.
