Internet Explorer (IE) used to be the top dog of browsers back in the day. It was so much better than what AOL had to offer, and hey, it came pre-installed on every new PC! Then slowly, but surely, folks wised up, and other browsers such as Opera, Firefox and Chrome emerged with better interfaces, better features and a lot less freezing. Plus the other guys don’t have nearly as many security holes. IE is like Swiss cheese.
