Introducing Authenticated Live Chat for Support and Billing

authenticated live chat

HostDime has been very busy lately working on new products, services, and other tweaks. Today we are excited to share one of those changes with you; introducing authenticated live chat for our clients’ support and billing needs!

HostDime’s live chat portal has received a full makeover. Here is our previous version of live chat; notice the client PIN number field:

Here is our newest variant which includes e-mail and password fields instead:

Clients used to have to find and enter their 5 digit PIN number. Now by entering your CORE e-mail and password, this provides a more safe and swift way of interacting with us.

This update means quicker assistance for your support and billing questions. You bypass all the previous steps of our techs asking for a PIN and looking up your status; now we will see your entire account history and information instantly. Soon, all of your chats will be archived in Core for both you and our tech team to see and reference for quicker resolutions.

If you are not currently a client and do not have a CORE account, you can still access our sales team for inquiries at any time.

Also for those who would want even more security for their account, be on the lookout for two-factor authentication coming to HostDime chat in the near future.

Give the new authenticated live chat a try; we think you’ll like it, and if you have any questions, please comment below!

    1. Hey Bradford, thanks for your question. We are diligently working on 2 factor authentication, it will be here soon. I’ll reply to your comment again when it’s ready.
