HostDime recently created in-house four SSL tools to help you manage and diagnose most SSL issues.
1. SSL Checker: This tool will help diagnose any problem with your SSL certificate. Simply enter your server’s hostname, which must be public, to verify that the cert is correctly installed, valid, trusted, and returns no errors for any of your users.
2. CSR Decoder: Use this tool to verify that your CSR (Certificate Signing Request) has the right information. A CSR is a block of encrypted text which contains information that will be included in your SSL Certificate. To decode the CSR, paste your CSR into the box here. Your CSR should start with “—–BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST—– ” and end with “—–END CERTIFICATE REQUEST—– “.
3. Certificate Decoder: To decode your PEM (Privacy Enhanced Email) encoded SSL certificate and verify that it contains the correct info, simply paste your certificate into the box here. Your certificate should start with “—–BEGIN CERTIFICATE—– ” and end with “—–END CERTIFICATE—– “.
4. CSR Generator: Lastly, HostDime has provided a generator to create a CSR, which will produce a Certificate Request, Certificate, and a Private Key.
