HostDime’s modular Tier IV design incorporates a high watt-per-square-foot density along with supplemental in-row cooling capabilities that work in parallel with direct-to-chip cooling technologies. The design also incorporates precise cooling-efficient cold aisle containment at every data hall. HostDime’s flagship Orlando data center also has designated data halls created specifically for immersive cooling hardware. Another design aspect that needs to be re-thought is the significant increase in fiber optic connectivity that these new technologies demand. It is expected that to accommodate AI applications, data centers will need to incorporate at least five times more fiber infrastructure density. Accommodation for such fiber density isn’t possible with current data center designs. HostDime’s design is a game-changer in this category as we designed six manhole entries into the facility with 48 x 4″ conduits coming into 3 diverse MMR rooms to ensure enough redundancy and density to provide entry to over 100+ carriers. With FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) being penetrated more in more in the market, we see a world where every home is connected via fiber to data centers. This will solve the massive throughput of bandwidth these technologies will need to serve the users.
